O.A. Thorp Academy, located on Austin and Warwick, was filled with Ghosts, Ghouls, and Goblins this Saturday as Friends of Thorp hosted their Annual Fall Fest.
A chance for the Thorp community to come together, show case their talent, and really enjoy the season.
The capstone of the fest was the Painted Pumpkin Silent Auction where pumpkin works of art ranging from R2D2 to an adaption of “The Scream” by Edvard Munch were bid on by attendees.
“The monies raised from the fundraiser are being put aside to install a turf field,” informed school parent Mary Slota, “on rainy days the kids are forced to stay on track due to poor drainage and mud.”
Thorp Principal, Efren Toledo, Commended the volunteers of Friends of Thorp and thanked everyone in attendance for their participation.
